Cueillette des Fruits.

The luscious green of the French countryside fills this picture of perfect serenity. Picabia shows a woman picking fruit in the trees, a typical 19th Century hay-bail dominates the left-hand side of the composition and a sweet French village can be seen peeping out on the hillside. The calm composition seems to have a whisper of wind suggested in the constant, loose diagonal brushstroke used by the artist.
