The characteristic red and pink washed building of Venie are beautifully displayed in Mike Bernard's painting of the Venice canals. Bernard's gestural use of line on the water's surface adds a sense of mvoement to the piece.
Born in Kent, award winning artist Mike trained at the West Surrey College of Art and Design and the Royal Academy Schools. Since then he was exhibited wdidely in the U.K and was elected a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour. He now lives and works in North Devon.
