A gorgeous, still life painting by french artist Marcel Delaunay depicting a bright floral display and interior.
Marcel Delaunay was a student at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and was taught by the artist Charles Frechon. Disenchanted with local painting groups, Delaunay decided to set up the Societe des Artistes Rouennais.
An indefatigable organiser and man of action and a strong defender of artistic patrimony, he was a founding member of several societies during his lifetime. He is best known for his highly colourful works of flowers, especially roses as well as church studies and street scenes
