The Red Head is an original interior painting by Scottish artist, Joe Hargan. A painting by John Singer Sargent hangs in the background flagged either side by plinths supporting a glass of wine and the bust of a monkey. A playfully placed Scottish flag pays homage to Hargan's heritage.
Joe Hargan was born in Glasgow, 1952. He studied drawing and painting at the Glasgow School of Art from 1970-74 under Danny Ferguson, James Robertson, and David Donaldson.
