Oil on Canvas
45 x 55 cms / 17¾" x 21½"
A gorgeous original French oil painting by Jean Kevorkian depicting a beautiful village. Born in Paris on 7th May 1933, Jean Kevorkian is one of France’s more successful contemporary painters. He is self taught and began painting at an early age, encouraged by his parents. His last name suggests Armenian roots, but his life and education have been entirely French.
Jean Kevorkian has received many prizes for his paintings in France, including Firsts in 1978, 1980 and 1981 with a ‘Diplome d’Honneur’ in 1980. Exhibitions of his paintings have been mainly in Paris and the provinces of France although examples of his work can be found in private collections in many countries.
