Borde de Mer, Saint-Valery-sur-Somme is a coastal landscape by artist, Jacques Bouyssou.

Bouyssou, born near Honfleur in 1926, grew up in an environment that nurtured his artistic talent. His family home became a gathering place for celebrated artists such as Friez, Dufy, Lagar, and Leprin, who greatly influenced his early development as both mentors and teachers. His natural ability was quickly recognized, leading to his first solo exhibition in London in 1955. This was followed by an invitation from the renowned Parisian art dealer Katia Granoff in 1956 to exhibit under her sponsorship, beginning a significant relationship that supported many of his future solo shows.
