Gladwell & Patterson are delighted to be exhibiting at The Petworth Park Antiques & Fine Art Fair for the third time this May. To bring in the late springtime, we'll be nestled within the grounds of the famous National Trust property, Petworth House, in the picturesque market town of Petworth, West Sussex. With our gallery comes a wonderful selection of fine art and sculpture. The fair boasts an outstanding collection of furniture, jewellery and many other unique works of art, spanning centuries.

Our gallery, Gladwell & Patterson celebrate being the oldest art gallery in London, with our history dating back to 1746. Over many years, we have sought out the finest artists and their remarkable, original works. We have carefully curated an exquisite selection of artworks, focusing our collection for The Petworth Park Antiques & Fine Art Fair which will showcase a stunning variation of paintings and limited edition sculpture.

A highlight of our exhibition is a painting, by Edward Brian Seago, RBA, ARWS, RWS (British, 1910-1974), 'Low Tide at Bawdsey, Suffolk'. This painting sits on the cusp of two worlds—realism and modernism. Seago, influenced by the Impressionist movement and was deeply rooted in the British landscape tradition meaning his work is often a mix of raw observation with a touch of poetic interpretation.
