Description
In this dynamic bronze, Waites captures the rhinoceros mid-stride, head lowered and body surging forward with undeniable momentum. The animal’s immense weight is conveyed through compressed musculature and a powerful stance, while the forward thrust of the horns introduces tension and urgency. Surface textures are vigorously worked, echoing the rhino’s thick hide and lending the sculpture a raw physicality. The muted, stony patina reinforces the sense of mass and age, anchoring the form to the ground.
