Description
In this powerful bronze study, Nick Bibby turns his sculptural language to the classical human form. Apollo presents the male torso as a distilled expression of strength, balance and proportion, stripped of narrative detail and focused instead on structure and surface. The musculature is confidently modelled, with light catching across the chest and abdomen to emphasise anatomical flow. Bibby avoids overt idealisation, allowing subtle asymmetries and softened transitions to lend the figure a natural, contemporary presence. The rich, dark patina deepens the sense of mass and solidity, while the restrained presentation invites close, contemplative viewing.
