Day 4: Simon and Monique Gudgeon live from Chelsea!

We spoke to our magnificent sculptor Simon Gudgeon and his wife Monique who, together, have designed and created an exhibition which truly is a haven of tranquillity.

In our interview with Simon he told to us about the inspiration behind his beautiful bronze sculpture, Celeste, and how she was created welding over 800 bronze leaves together. The result is stunning and helped Simon’s breath-taking sculpture garden win the highest accolade for a trade stand, The Five Star Trade Stand Award. To find out more, watch our interview with him below.

Simon’s wife, Monique, is responsible for the wonderful array of plants and flowers that surround Simon’s sculptures. In our interview, Monique told us about the importance of sustainability and how it impacts the plants she chooses. To find out more about her horticultural expertise, please watch the video below.

They both wanted the exhibit to be relaxing and mellow, like their own garden at home, and they definitely succeeded. The sound of running water, soft Mediterranean greens and the fresh scent of lavender created the perfect frame for Simon’s wonderful sculptures. Once again, we are extremely proud of Simon and all his hard work, congratulations!
