Chelsea Flower Show 2014

Its that time of the year! The Chelsea Flower show this year promises to live up to its outstanding reputation. A tremendous amount of hard work goes into the wonderful display of creative, innovative and beautiful gardens, flowers, art and sculpture. It is our 7th year exhibiting at the show and over the years we have been honoured to receive many awards, merits and distinctions for outstanding presentation of a trade stand. Whilst I always spend many hours at Covent Garden Market in the lead up to the big event, and engage in hard labour with trowel and hose, it is under the artistic direction of the talented would-be garden designer Graham Magee with some perfectionist input from none other than Glenn!

Our garden stand featuring sculpture by Edward Waites and Stella Shawzin

We hope 2014 will be no different and as we try always to offer our dear clients and visitors a new experience on our stand. This year, a talented young sculptor Edward Waites, will be sculpting live alongside a selection of his masterpieces, come rain or shine. We hope the encouragement from visitors will help create a real buzz to buoy him whilst he unravels the creative process in front of our eyes. He will be alongside the beautiful works of Stella Shawzin, the inimitable lady whose marble and bronze figures have wowed audiences for the last 7 years from balancing acrobats to monumental marble mother and child.

Paintings by Stewart Lees and Willem Dolphyn on our stand

Paintings by Stewart Lees and Willem Dolphyn

On our paintings stand you will be delighted to see the return of the likes of Willem Dolphyn and Stuart Lees who dedicate many months in their calendar to create specially worked pieces for Chelsea. Perhaps this is why both artists sold out last year with a selection of exceptional works. We will keep you updated with our garden plans and planning schedule as we see what our unpredictable English weather throws at us. Bring on some sunshine and rain and some warmth please to bring our wonderful propagated plants into bloom. This year the pavilion exhibits are commemorating the beginning of the first world war and the Chelsea gardens range from Islamic Paradise Garden to a Hope on the Horizon Garden for serviceman’s charity Help the Heroes. We very much look forward to seeing you at SR14!
