Description
Blueberry Pickings presents a shallow earthenware bowl filled with dark blue berries set on a pale wooden surface, its twin handles extending laterally to define the composition’s width. Several blueberries are placed loosely in the foreground, their matte skins marked by the pale bloom that naturally forms on freshly picked fruit. Behind the bowl, a small ceramic jug rises against a muted green ground, its mottled glaze and uneven surface registering soft tonal shifts rather than sharp reflection.
The utilitarian vessels, closer to vernacular European pottery than decorative ware, support Dolphyn’s interest in modest forms that reward close observation
