Description
Painted as one half of a diptych, Mallard I began on a morning when the pond had turned an almost unbelievable green. “Opaque, yet very bright,” Ollie recalls. “The mallards’ colours felt especially vibrant in that light, so I turned them up too.” The work can be displayed independently or alongside Mallard II as originally conceived.
