Description

Eric de Vree is celebrated for his ability to translate fleeting moments of light and colour into vibrant, evocative paintings. Working predominantly en plein air, he paints directly from nature, responding instinctively to the changing conditions of the landscape. His work reflects a deep appreciation for the traditions of Impressionism, particularly in his treatment of light and his use of rich, broken colour, while maintaining a distinctly contemporary sensibility.

In Walking Path, de Vree demonstrates his remarkable understanding of how sunlight animates a landscape. The interplay of cool shadows and warm highlights creates a sense of depth and movement, encouraging the viewer to step imaginatively into the scene.
