Gladwell & Patterson returns to Scottsdale Art Week at Booth D1 

Alongside a focused presentation that brings together late nineteenth and early twentieth-century European painting is the first one-man exhibition in America by James Doran-Webb, marking a significant moment in the artist’s international career.

Raised in Devon within a family of artisans, Doran-Webb’s early experience in furniture restoration established a detailed understanding of structure, balance and material behaviour. These principles continue to underpin his sculptural practice, now based in Cebu in the Philippines, where he works almost exclusively with reclaimed molave wood recovered from river systems and coastal environments. Presented alongside a curated selection of Post-Impressionist paintings, the exhibition establishes a dialogue between historical and contemporary approaches to form, surface and composition.
